Jaipur is undoubtedly the city of Royals and you will never be disappointed by the food too in the City of Royals. There are so many good restaurants in Jaipur but if you are looking for some sumptuous authentic Indian subcontinent food in a luxury restaurant in Jaipur, then Peshawri restaurant is a must visit for you. Located inside the premises of a plush 5-star hotel in Jaipur, this restaurant is definitely a paradise for foodies especially for the kebab and tikka lovers. I happened to visit this restaurant during my last stay in Jaipur and I totally loved everything about this restaurant.
Once you enter this restaurant you will notice that the ambience of this restaurant is very similar to the Bukhara restaurant in ITC Maurya Delhi. The rustic ambience with brown and pale orange as the dominant colors of decor, the rustic wooden furniture, cobbled and stoned walls, wall hangings and those dangling wall dividers have a stark similarity with those in Bukhara restaurant. Those hanging brass and copper vessels will certainly give you a feel of the nomadic village life of the North west frontier region of the Indian subcontinent. You will get a hang of a very refined rustic ambience in Peshawri restaurant and those dim lights further add to the mood.
The menu of Peshawri is based on the North west frontier cuisine, just like that of Bukhara restaurant. But I loved the food at Peshawri more than that at Bukhara. I had ordered Dal Bukhara, Murgh Khurchan, Tandoori Paneer Tikka, Naan, Orange juice and Green Apple mojito at Peshawri. I had ordered the same dishes when I had dined at Bukhara a couple of years back. And I tell you I kind of loved the food more at Peshawri especially the Murgh Khurchan which was the dish made of chicken slivers in thick tomato gravy seasoned with spices and condiments. tandoori Paneer Tikka and Dal Bukhara were also good.
But my clear favourite was the Murgh Khurchan which was so succulent and tasty. I personally met Chef Bajrang who made it and complimented him for making such a mouth-watering dish.
The other signature dishes at Peshawri that you can try are Dal Bukhara, sikandari raan, barrah kebab, tandoori jhinga and murgh malai kebab.
So if you are in Jaipur and want to taste some really fine Indian subcontinent food then hop into this restaurant and I am sure you will not be disappointed at all, just like me.
