The Hotel Beach

Well what to say about this one. A luxury 5 star hotel resort located in Pointe Aux Piments, along the north western coastline of Mauritius. What a superb property i must say. Really awesome and worth remembering. As soon as we checked into the hotel we were welcomed with the refreshing welcome drink and then escorted to our room at the ground floor of the resort building facing the ocean. There is so much to do here that when you go back home, you have too many wonderful memories to carry along with you.

​Its really one of the best beach resorts that i have visited till date.  The property is too big with a long private beach, many restaurants and ocean facing rooms. You can also indulge yourself in a spa, a pool or water activities within the premises of the hotel. Hotel lobby is quite big with free wi-fi available so its almost always crowded and i rarely got any vacant place to sit....Some dance and music performances are also held in this resort. During our visit, on a Wednesday night there was a dance performance by a troop who danced on Indian songs, belly dance and a Mauritian folk song which was really lovely. So expect lot of entertainment here.

Rooms:The best thing about the resort, all the rooms in the hotel were sea facing. The room was clean, very spacious with a king size bed and lovely soothing interiors with a tropical ambience. The bathroom had the jacuzzi and was very spacious too. The house keeping staff used to daily keep a fragrant tropical flower in the bathroom that always made my day. That refreshing aroma of the flower was so addictive that i could feel myself being on a tropical high. A big window- door covered full wall facing the ocean and a big green garden area. So rejuvenating to the eyes were those greens... wow i felt i have landed in a tropical heaven...!! There was a small porch outside our room where you could just sit on the caned chairs and relax while enjoying the ocean view.

Private beach: The hotel has a very beautiful and long private beach where we relaxed and spent most of our spare time. The white sandy beach overlooking the horizon of blue ocean and sky is sure to make you fall in love with it. 

Pool area: There is a pool area on the beach and a pool bar is also there to enjoy your cocktails in between your swim. It was the same pool besides which the honeymoon couples were given complementary candle lit dinner. Dining with your loved one on the beach by the side of the pool definitely makes you feel that it's a set just out of a romantic movie.

Dining: Well this hotel resort has some good options in the culinary section. There are choices to spoil you if you are a food lover. It is having 6-7 restaurants but i will review only the ones i visited. 

The Bois cheri bar is located just opposite the lobby area of the hotel and is one of the most popular places in the resort to have drinks and some light snacks. This bar offers a panoramic view of the ocean and also you can take advantage of the free wi-fi of the lobby. ​

Cumin is the restaurant serving Indian cuisine. This restaurant was my personal favourite since i am a lover of Indian food. And the food here will not disappoint you if you too are a fan of the Indian cuisine. That's the reason this restaurant was the most crowded one during dinner time and the maximum guests  here included the non-Indians. 

 Another restaurant that i liked here was Shells that serves awesome seafood. This one should definitely be tried for its good food and its location at the beach. What an awesome view it offers.

The bayview bar is a centrally located bar where you can enjoy your food and drink while watching the ocean. The best part about this bar is that at night it organises some live performances by the dancers. We managed to watch the traditional dance of mauritius, belly dance and some bollywood movie dance also. This is a really happening place in the hotel and should not be missed.

Another restaurant is 180degrees that served continental food and its here where we used to have our breakfast every morning. The breakfast buffet included a wide spread of dishes.

Spa: It has a spa also within the property which is an ideal place to relax your body and soul.  I really enjoyed the upper body massage that definitely was rejuvenating.

Watersports activities and Fishing area: The hotel also offers some watersports activities like kayaking, water skiing, snorkeling, boating etc. There was a fishing spot too available for those who love fishing. So if you are a water baby then its surely your playground.

Car hiring facility: this is what impressed me the most that you can easily hire a car on daily rental basis and go about exploring Mauritius on your own. The varieties of cars to choose from were many and the daily rent was also reasonable.

However there are few things that i would want the hotel management to pay attention to:

• No free Wi-fi is available in rooms.
• You could never go for dinner in cumin restaurant before 9 pm. They always gave time for dinner after 9 pm no matter whenever you call them for booking a table.

All in all this hotel resort is the best place for the dream vacations, best place to relax and rejuvenate.
