Well this is a quiet and beautiful beach located in the north Goa . The beach is accessed by a narrow lane where you can't even imagine a beach is located. The lane is too narrow to hardly allow a small car to pass thru it a time. The narrow lane leading to the beach is further made narrower by the tourist shops on one side of the lane.
Near the beach there is a small car parking area where we parked our car. There was a groove of coconut trees laden with coconuts and was a visual delight.
As we went to the beach what caught my attention was its light colored sand and the cloudy sky. Since it was a cloudy day, it wasn't much hot and the weather was pleasant. The sight of the sunlight filtering through the clouds was heavenly. I just couldn't take my eyes off the horizon and said to myself, 'Thank God i came here otherwise i would have missed such a beautiful view'. Beach was very serene and calm and i could see very few people there. No jostling crowd and that really surprised me. How such a beautiful place is not popular among people. And even among the people on the beach, most were the foreign tourists who were enjoying their private time on a public beach. This was in sharp contrast to the other North Goa beaches like Baga and Calungate that are always overcrowded and littered with waste here and there. However this was a very neat and clean beach with no hustle-bustle of the crowd. This was the thing i liked the most. No hullaballo.
This beach is one of the least commercialised beaches of North Goa and i could see only 2-3 shacks there. Since it was lunch time and i was too hungry. I thought it was better to eat something to gather the energy for exploring the beach. Rainbow bar and restaurant was the 1st shack that i encountered while entering the beach area and i could see some tourists having a good time there. So i decided to have lunch there and i must say i am glad i entered this shack. The food was not only awesome but also very fresh. See the detailed review of this shack in the Restaurant Reviews section of my website. I simply loved the view of the beach from the restaurant.
Now coming to the beach, it is one of the cleanest beaches in Goa. Since it was not very crowded you could easily get your alone time with your loved one and enjoy the view. Also if you are an enthusiast of collecting shells then this is the beach for you.Though I went there in the afternoon I could easily collect shells from there. Lots of shells lay scattered there that definitely fulfilled my childhood fantasy of collecting shells from the beach. And its a good beach for water sports lovers too . Here you can indulge in parasailing, water scootering and other water activities.
Overall the beach is one of most beautiful beaches in Goa and should definitely be visited at least once.

What I wore
I was in a mood to wear something in white. I had an option to wear either a white top or a white shorts. I am saying 'either' beacuse i didnot want an all white look as coordinating a soothing color with white is what i love. So i zeroed in the Vero Moda white shorts because i loved these lacy cotton shorts witha zig zag hemline. Sea green color is what i decided to pair the shorts with. I wore the sea green deep V neck Dorothy Perkins spaghetti blouse. My accessories included a cool white hat and a sea green colored sling bag. I also wore a muticolored glass neckpiece to complete the look.

Best time to visit Morjim
November to February is the best time to visit because its the winter season at this time in Goa. Weather is cool and expect a maximum temperature in the range of 20-25 degrees celsius during this time. Early mornings and nights are cool and breezy while afternoons are sunny ideal for getting tanned. However if you love rains and the lush green then July to September is the period for you because its the time of monsoons in Goa.
Location of Morjim and how to reach
The nearest airport is the Goa International Airport, Dabolim. It is at a distance of about 50 kms from Morjim and takes about an hour to reach there. You can hire a taxi to Morjim or rent a car/bike to reach Morjim from airport or from your hotel. Refer map below for location.
